After being in a cult for several years or all their life, it can be especially challenging navigating the real world. As members leave or escape, they may never have experienced many common responsibilities of adulthood most of us take for granted. Former members need job skills, housing, transportation, training/schooling, and counseling. They may need help navigating banking, shopping, paying bills, getting a driver’s license, and completing applications. They may need help finding their families and returning to their true lives back home across the country or overseas.
